If the answer is yes then join our talent pool! We want you to apply if:

You have little or no teaching assistant/education experience but aspire to be a teaching assistant and you:

  • may have previous experience in another sector, which means you have transferable skills e.g. forest school experience, care experience.

Or

You have previous or current, relevant experience and are looking for a teaching assistant role in Norfolk.

As a TA you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with their education, as well as their emotional and social development. This might be one to one with pupils who have special educational needs, in groups or as a whole class. You will help them to thrive in a positive, nurturing and safe environment, whilst working closely with the class teacher to raise the learning and attainment of your pupils and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Typical responsibilities of a TA can be seen by viewing the TA job description attached to this advert. The hours of the job will vary depending on the vacancy within each school, as will the type of contract e.g. permanent or temporary.

Please indicate on your application form how many hours per week you are able to work.

Our TA Talent Pool is regularly and proactively promoted to schools and trusts across Norfolk. We can help maximise your chances of finding a suitable post. Being in the TA Talent Pool will not prevent you from making applications direct to recruiting schools if you wish, but it will increase your chances of securing a suitable post – your application may get sent to a school you had not considered or before they have even advertised.

Schools will request searches from us based on their needs. Please be aware your application will only be sent to schools who request a search, should you meet their criteria.
