Corpusty is a special place: we are a small community with a family, friendly atmosphere. Classrooms are happy places with positive atmospheres for learning. An opportunity has arisen for a class teacher (or two) to join our skilled, dedicated team working to cover a maternity post. The vacancy is for our Reception and Key Stage 1 class and consists of a 3-day-a-week and a 2- day-a- week vacancy, which could be combined to form a full-time role initially. The successful candidate will need to be an outstanding practitioner. They must also be able to work in successful partnership with other staff to give children the best experiences in the classroom so that they make good progress regardless of their starting point.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Creative and adaptable and able to think “outside the box” which is needed in a mixed age classroom
  • Forward thinking with a steely determination to make a positive difference to children’s lives
  • Passionate about child-centred learning
  • Able to work closely within a small team
  • Great communicator
  • Passionate about providing children with a diverse, well-rounded curriculum with rich experiences
  • Committed to supporting the whole child and focused on nurturing wellbeing, physical and emotional health as well as academic progress

In return we offer:

  • A genuine opportunity to make a difference to the children of our school
  • Small class sizes, with TA support
  • A challenging and stimulating place to work
  • Staff who are committed, friendly and are willing to go that extra mile
  • Delightful children who are ready to learn and are supported by the whole school community
  • A well-planned curriculum with a broad range of resources saving on teacher time, but with the freedom to use your professional skills to adapt and bring the curriculum alive.
  • A school which takes pupils’, parents’ and staff wellbeing seriously. You will receive a generous PPA time as well as the full range of Synergy’s wellbeing offer.
  • Being part of a successful, forward thinking multi academy trust, which values each school’s uniqueness and provides broader opportunities for professional development and collaboration.

This is a part time vacancy working three days a week or two days a week (or full time could be considered). This vacancy is a maternity cover.

We would love to meet you and show you around our school or chat on the phone about the post. If you would like to arrange a visit or a phone call, please contact the school office: 01263 587320 office@corpustyprimary.org.uk
