  • Full time

Are you an excellent practitioner who knows how to motivate polite, well behaved children and bring them on with their learning?

Can you embrace the challenge of supporting children to make progress with their learning regardless of their starting point?

Hillcrest Primary School is a three-form entry Primary School, currently rated as Good by Ofsted (June 2023), on the outskirts of Downham Market. With less than a 5-minute drive to Downham Market Train Station, you find yourselves on a direct line to either Kings Lynn or London.

Hillcrest is in an exciting place, continually developing new ways of energising and motivating the next generation of pupils through the following means...

  • Our bespoke Text-Linked Curriculum is designed to raise the profile of Reading and ensure the children see the links between all of their learning;
  • Our Independent Learning programme encourages the children to take responsibility for their own learning and to make sensible choices that improve their outcomes;
  • From September 2021 we have introduced an Outdoor Learning Curriculum which will take advantage of the wealth of outdoor space at our disposal, including a Forest School, to further engage the children with their learning

A temporary opportunity has opened up for a Class Teacher for a position within the Key Stage 1 team.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please make an appointment with the Headteacher, Mr Matthew Try, through the School Office at Hillcrest Primary School.
