Exciting and Diverse Leisure

With the average price of a detached home in Norfolk less than £230,000, there is greater space for less cost than many places in the country.

Norfolk is a huge adventure playground for all ages, from motor sports at Snetterton, speedway in King’s Lynn , to horse racing in Fakenham and both horse and greyhound racing in Great Yarmouth, or even International Horse Trials at Houghton.

In fact, Norfolk can challenge on land, sea or air.  World class windsurfing, sailing, rowing, canoeing, fishing, kite-surfing or jet-skiing are all on the doorstep.  Or there is the option of learning to fly, enjoying a balloon trip, having a go at gliding, hang-gliding, parachuting or even skydiving from one of Norfolk’s many airfields.  By land there is walking and cycling, including along the Peddars Way (the Norfolk coastal path) or in Thetford Forest.  The bird watching is world renowned at any time of the year.

If visiting properties is your thing, the National Trust and English Heritage each have a number of outstanding properties to visit from Blicking Hall, Felbrigg and Oxborough Hall to Castle Rising, Castle Acre Castle and Abbey and Burgh Castle Roman Fort.  The privately-owned Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall are equally as stunning.  Other top attractions include Banham Zoo, Pensthorpe Natural Park and Sandringham House.
