The Clare School is looking to appoint a Personal and Physical Support Assistant.  We are a warm and welcoming school, which was graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted at its last inspection.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Physical and Personal Support Assistant who will support the whole range of children and young people throughout the school.  Pupils at The Clare School have a wide range of learning, physical, sensory, communication and medical needs.  

You will assist pupils who have reduced continence control with their toileting, cleaning and changing, at all times ensuring that the pupils are comfortable and treated with dignity.  You will also help pupils with their postural management such as supporting them with walking, using standing frames and supporting and encouraging them to participate in their physiotherapy routines.  Part of this role will involve helping pupils with their feeding and drinking, including gastrostomy feeding.  Full training will be provided
