We are a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 to 19.  All pupils have different learning needs; they learn best when they are happy and excited about learning.

Chapel Green School is a supportive, challenging and happy learning environment, where all individuals are respected and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We are looking for qualified teaching assistants with commitment to develop their skills in the field of Special Educational Needs. You will need to be a team player, calm, patient, have an eye for detail and a good working knowledge of ICT; full training, induction and mentoring will be given.

These posts are needed to enable us to facilitate the induction and inclusion of our pupils.

Your role will be class based and you will be working under the direction of a class teacher and the corridor leader. We would encourage applicants with experience in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or British Sign Language.

The school runs a comprehensive programme of professional development.

We are seeking people with enthusiasm and passion who will be fully committed to the new start at Chapel Green School and the challenges and opportunities this will bring.

How to apply:

Click the 'Apply for job' button to be re-directed to our website to apply or contact Mrs Sue Peacock via post or email as shown above. Electronic applications are desired, for this post.

Closing Date: Friday 31 May 2024

Interviews to be held on: Tuesday 11 June 2024

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects of all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This includes obtaining references and ensuring compliance with the DBS process.
