Do you have high expectations and enjoy working in a fantastic team?

Do you have skills and a passion for improving outcomes for young learners with additional needs?

Then we would like to hear from you….

In September 2024, we will be opening our Orchard Room – An Enhanced SEND Provision to support children from EYFS and KS1 with additional learning needs.

This is a very rare opportunity to join our school on an exciting journey.

Orchard Room will be based on EYFS principles and pedagogy; in order to allow learners to make progress through accessing a curriculum which meets their needs.

The provision will cater for a small group (max of 12 children), and you will be supported by a team of 3 SEND assistants.

We would like to appoint a highly effective Lead SEND Teacher who demonstrates a passion for SEND provision, and will lead the provision under the direction of our school Senco and Inclusion Manager. You will have the enthusiasm and purpose to want to make a difference.

We’re looking for a dedicated, passionate and experienced individual who has a track record of supporting children with additional needs. This role will, with the support of our Inclusion team, create a therapeutically appropriate environment to enable all children to progress in line with personalised next steps.

We welcome applications from recently qualified or more experienced teachers.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Set high expectations with individualised curriculums for each learner
  • Have a strong knowledge of SEND and EYFS principles
  • Be able to communicate with and direct a small team
  • Communicate and engage positively with parents, carers and external SEND agencies
  • Demonstrate a positive, consistent approach to behaviour management
  • Be enthusiastic and hard working with a good sense of humour

We can offer:

  • A school on an exciting journey in terms of SEND provision, curriculum development and outstanding external development plans!
  • A brand new, purpose build school; with well-equipped Orchard Room
  • Learners who have great attitudes and thrive in our calm and welcoming environment
  • Excellent support as part of our new, forward thinking Inclusion Team
  • Support and training from external SEND experts and agencies

You are warmly encouraged to come and visit us for an opportunity to look round and talk about this new role in more detail. This can be arranged via the school office: office@hethersettwoodside.org.uk  or 01603 810674
