  • Salary: Scale D, £23,500 pro rata, £12.18 per hour
  • Fixed term contract to initially, 31 August 2025 with the likelihood of this being extended
  • 32.5 hrs per week
  • Term time + 1 week
  • To start as soon as possible


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will involve 1:1 support to individual children with high needs across the school and may include some medical and personal care responsibilities. It will also include working in small group situations as well as supporting the teacher in whole class lessons.


We are looking for kind and patient individuals who are passionate about making a difference to pupils’ learning and supporting them in achieving their full potential. The role will involve providing help and support, but fostering independence wherever possible. We would like someone who will role model a love for learning and show enthusiasm for working with our pupils. The successful applicants should be able to work effectively as part of a team, under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, as well as be able to use their initiative where necessary.


We are looking for a person who:

  • Has NVQ level 2 in childcare or an equivalent qualification
  • Is reliable and trustworthy
  • Has an exemplary attendance record
  • Has a positive attitude
  • Is caring and committed to the highest standards of support for our pupils
