This is a rare opportunity to lead the opening of a brand new primary school in Silfield, Norfolk.

Unity Schools Partnership was selected by Norfolk CC to open a fantastic, modern and spacious new primary school from September 2025.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for an ambitious, aspiring leader with a passion for education and excellence, looking to embed our new school at the heart of its community from the outset.

We are inviting applications from candidates with a strong track record of school improvement through senior leadership and those who understand how to create and maintain outstanding primary practice.

You will have a background as a Primary senior leader and demonstrable experience in establishing high standards of practice across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Opening a brand new school is a unique and exciting opportunity and our preferred candidate will have a clear vision about how to forge strong links with the community. Experience of recruiting excellent teaching and support staff is essential. A good knowledge of current educational research is also highly desirable.

Unity Schools Partnership is an innovative MAT, with a nationally acclaimed curriculum offer (CUSP). Our schools use our Trust &iLearn digital strategy to deliver curriculum excellence through 1:1 iPads, with all Y4-6 pupils using an iPad that they take home daily. With a Research School at the heart of our practice, we are committed to using evidence to guide our approaches to school improvement.

Unity Schools Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust of 35 schools, growing to 39 in September and into the 40s over the coming years with other schools to open, as well as Silfield Primary Academy. The ambition of Unity Schools Partnership is to achieve a step change in the quality of education provided by primary, secondary and special schools and that its schools are achieving top quartile performance by 2026. The trust expects its work to be characterised by ethical leadership, an ambition for improvement at pace and the expectation that remarkable change can happen.

For an informal discussion or to find out more about the role, please contact Darren Woodward, Executive Director of Education on - dwoodward@unitysp.co.uk
