We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS TA to work at Sprowston Infant School. Experience in EYFS is essential, as well as an ability to assess children’s learning and development and planning for their next steps. The role will be full time in EYFS for the successful candidate. The role is likely to include one afternoon a week covering the class with an additional TA.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential

  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification
  • Previous experience of working with EYFS children in a nursery or school setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work under the direction of the teacher, but is able to use their own initiative to support learning
  • The ability to establish a positive relationship with children, parents and staff

Desirable

  • A secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and KS1 curriculum
  • Level 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience of planning in the moment/ and or continuous provision in EYFS/ KS1
  • Paediatric first aid training
  • Full driving license
